About Ida Kvetny.
Ida Kvetny (b. 1980) lives in Copenhagen after studying three years abroad. She is educated from The Funen Art Academy 2002-2004, Edinburgh College of Art 2004-2006, she has been at the Norfolk Summer School of Art at Yale University 2005 and she has received her MA from Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London in 2007. In 2007, she participated in the group exhibition Comix! at Brandts in Odense, Denmark. In Mad Love - Young Art in Danish Private Collections at ARKEN Museum of Modern Art 2007 and in a group exhibition at the Museum of Art, Seoul National University in Korea. In 2008 she was shortlisted for the Sovereign Art Prize by the jury: Sir Peter Blake, Tim Marlow (White Cube), jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Rachel Campbell-Johnstan (art critic, The Times), Philly Adams (Saatchi Gallery), Alan Yentob (BBC television). Ida participated in the Exhibition " To The Wall" at Kunsthal Charlottenborg 2009 and in Spring 2010 she was elected to an artist in residency in L.A. Spring 2011 she has been taking part in the VOLTA Show, NY and this winter she has been in a group show at Holstebro museum of art. Spring 2012 Kvetny was included in “Kraks Blå bog” and during 2012 she will be working towards her fifth solo show “RAM” at gallery Christoffer Egelund.
